The Memories from the Hart project is being guided by the knowledge and past experiences of NDC residents Bob and Roni Farrow, Rose Simpson, Earnest Fowler and Millie Ryan amongst others but more residents are needed to help tell their stories of life gone by.  

Hartlepool NDC is working with Hartlepool Revival and Hartlepool Borough Council to preserve memories of the streets marked for demolition over the next few years. As well as focusing on the NDC area of town (west central), additional housing regeneration is taking place directly adjacent to this (north central) in partnership with Housing Hartlepool.

We need your help to preserve and record the memories through your experiences, stories and tales of what life was once like in these streets.  If you have any old maps, documents, photographs or anything of a similar nature this would be even better to help record a picture of the past.
